Super Eagles Chief Coach, Sunday Oliseh, has revealed that he spent $4,000 paying for the feeding of home-based Super Eagles at the CHAN Championship in Rwanda, following the cash strapped situation of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
He said on Thursday in an interview: “I spent $4,000 to feed the team because the food in camp was not good enough. I used my personal funds to get the team going for the interest of the nation.
“We have family men who have been working hard for 50 days, but who couldn’t afford to buy a bottle of Coca-Cola. It was unbearable. And now they are going back home with nothing to give to their families.
“I have one big fear – I hope when we call the players, they will not refuse to play for Nigeria. It’s scary but real. I have received phone calls from them asking about what they are being owed.”
