Residents of the ancient town of Daura in Katsina State went into wild jubilation following reports of the release of their District Head, Musa Uba, abducted since March 1, 2019 from his home.
The district head was rescued by a combined team of security operatives in a secluded house near Sani Abacha Youth Centre along Madobi Road in Kano metropolis.

Malam Abubakar Dantakai, Chairman, Daura Social Media Forum, who led thousands of youths jubilating at the popular Kangiwa Square in Daura, said the release of the district head was good news to the residents and commended security agencies for their efforts.

He also thanked God for the safe rescue of the Magajin Gari, who was said to be in good health and high spirit.

Alhaji Habibu Bala, a unionist, gave kudos to security agencies and all those who contributed through prayers, fasting and other spiritual engagements for the rescue of the district head.

Also, Malam Lawal Adamu, alias TBO, said the release of the Magajin Gari was worthy of celebration, as the traditional ruler had been contributing positively towards the growth and development of the area.
