Cardiff boss says Osaze is the best

osaze_odemwingieCardiff City boss, Malky Mackay, has tagged Nigerian want-away striker, Osaze Odemwingie, as the best striker in his squad at the moment after the former Bendel Insurance of Benin striker opened his goals account on his debut against West Ham in the English Premiership.

Cardiff came back from two goals down to draw level at West Ham in a League Cup game, with Osaze grabbing the equaliser to take the game to 2-2 at the Upton Park.

“Osaze was excellent, he was dangerous and that’s what we wanted,” Mackay said.

“He looked as though he would score a goal or set up a chance. But there is a need to get match minutes into him because he hasn’t played regularly for six months or so.”

Mackay added: “The start gave us a mountain to climb, we were a shadow of our normal selves for most of the first half.

“But we tweaked a few things at the break and the players showed great belief after that.

“I asked people to give me a headache on who to pick for Premier League matches and four or five in the second half went a long way towards doing that.”
