The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, has polled 1,232,133 votes in Katsina, his home state in Saturday’s presidential election.
Prof. Fatima Mukhtar, the State Collation Officer said Buhari defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party who got 308,056 votes.
Buhari won in all the 34 local government areas of the state with a wide margin.
However, the number of votes recorded by Buhari is about 100,000 fewer than the 1,345,441 he got in 2015, when he ran against former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The state has a total of 3.2 million registered voters, but only 1,628,865 voters were accredited during the election, Mukhtar said.
The total votes cast was 1,619,186 and 63,712 votes were rejected.
Buhari also scored 612,371 votes in Niger.
Prof. Anjela Mary, the State Collation Officer for the Presidential election, announced this at the INEC headquarters in Minna on Monday.
Mary, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Lokoja, said Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 218,052 votes.
She said the total number of registered voters was 2,375,568 while the total number of accredited voters was 911,964
Mary added that the number of valid votes was 851,937 while 45,039 votes were rejected.
She also said the total number of votes cast was 896,976.
The result announced by local government collation officers showed that Buhari won in all the 25 councils of the state.
Buhari also won in Kaduna State with 993,482 votes.
Prof. Bello Shehu, the Returning Officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the result on Monday in Kaduna.
Shehu said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 613,318 votes in the poll.
He said the APC won in 14 local government areas of the state,
while the PDP won in nine local government areas.
INEC also declared Buhari winner in Yobe State.
Prof. Abubakar Musa, the State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor, Federal University Wukari , Taraba State, announcing the result, said that Buhari scored 497,914 votes in the state.
Musa said that Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 50,763 votes from the 559,365 valid votes cast in the state.
He said that the state had 1,365,913 registered voters, 601,059 accredited voters for the election, 586,137 total votes cast and 26,772 rejected votes.
He said that there was cancellation of election in eight polling units in the state with 4,407 registered voters in the affected areas.
Musa said that though there was Boko Haram attack in the state, election later held in all the 17 local government areas of the state.
Buhari has also been declared winner in Jigawa State.
Prof. Abdullahi Zuru, Vice Chancellor of Usman Danfodio University Sokoto, who is the State Collation Officer for the election, announced the result in Dutse on Monday.
He said that Buhari, who sought for re -election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 794,738 to defeat his closest rival, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar who got 289,895 votes.
Zuru explained that a total of 1106244 votes were valid, 43678 rejected and 1149922, the total number of votes cast during the exercise.
He thanked INEC ad hoc staff that were recruited for ennsuring the successfull conduct of the election.
The Collation Officer also commended security operatives for their support and cooperation in ensuring a free, fair and credible election.
Meanwhile the APC returning officer, Alhaji Faruk Adamu, lauded INEC for organising a free and transparent election not only in Jigawa but the country in general.
Adamu said that he enjoyed tremendous support and cooperation from relevant stakeholders throughout the period of the election without acrimony.
Buhari won 19 local government areas in Sokoto State while Atiku got four.
The results were collated and declared on Monday by the Chief Returning Officer of the state, Prof. Yahuza Bello.
Bello, who is the Vice-Chancellor Bayero University, Kano State, said Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate scored the highest votes of 490, 333 in 19 councils.
He said Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 361, 604 votes out of 871, 891 total votes cast while 54, 049 votes were voided.
Buhari is leading in 19 out of the 21 Local Government Areas of Kebbi in the results so far released by INEC Collation Officers.
In the results released by the Collation Officer for the Kebbi Presidential Election, Prof. Haruna Bichi, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University, Dutsinma, Katsina state, APC scored 17,863 in Aliero Local Government against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which polled 5,458.
Similarly, in Kalgo local government, APC scored 19,057 as against PDP’s 3,233, while in Ngaski Local government, APC scored 20,641 and PDP polled 6,591.
In Sakaba local government, APC polled 14,026 as against PDP’s 3,800 votes.
Also in Suru local government, APC polled 22,627 while PDP scored 10,358 votes.
Furthermore, in Shanga local government, APC got 19,262 while PDP scored 6,961 and in Bagudo local government, APC scored 29,243 as against PDP’s 8,160 votes.
In Arewa local government, APC polled 32,582 as against PDP which scored 8,390 votes.
He also added that APC scored 42,970 in Jega local governments against PDP which polled 7,416
Similarly in koko Besse Local government, APC scored 25,874 as against PDP’s 5,668 votes.
In Maiyama local government, APC scored 30,001 as against PDP’s 6,279 votes.
In Argungu local government APC polled 42,038 while PDP scored 6,951 and in Birinin Kebbi local government APC scored 71,510 while PDP polled 12,900.
Also, in Fakai Local government APC scored 12,200 while PDP scored 4,865 and in Danko wasagu local government APC scored 31,818 while PDP polled 8,724 votes.
Similarly in Yauri Local government APC polled 24,677 while PDP scored 7,108 .
Further more in Zuru local government APC scored 23,520 while PDP scored 12, 326 and in Bunza local government APC had 20,622 while PDP polled 6,285.
He added that in Dandi local government, APC scored 26,512 while PDP scored 7,442.
In Bauchi State, Buhari polled 798,428 votes to beat Atiku who scored 209,313 votes.
Prof. Alhassan Ghani, the State Collation officer, announced the result after collation from the 20 local government areas of the state on Tuesday in Bauchi.
He said that the state had 2,453,512 registered voters, out of which, 1,075,330 were accredited for the election.
Ghani added that a total of 1,061,955 votes were cast, out of which APC scored 798,428 votes and PDP scored 209,313 votes.
According to the collation officer, the exercise records a total of 1,024,307 valid votes and 37,648 invalid votes.
He commended the electorate, stakeholders and party agents for the peaceful elections, commitment and cooperation throughout the exercise.
Meanwhile, Col. Umaru Tilde (rtd) and Alhaji Salihu Yau, agents of the APC and PDP accepted the result and signed the documents on behalf of their parties.
In Kano, Buhari defeated Atiku with over 1,073,195 margin.
The Collation Officer for the Presidential election in Kano, Prof. Magaji Garba, announced this on Tuesday following the collation of the result from the 44 local government areas of the state.
He said that the APC Presidential candidate scored 1,464,768 to defeat the PDP candidate who scored 391,593 votes.
He added that, “the total registered voters in the state are 5,391,581, while total accredited voters are 2,006,410.
“The total votes cast during the election on Saturday is 1,964,751 and the total valid vote is 1,891,134, while the total rejected vote is 73,617.”

In Gombe State, Buhari polled 403,961 votes out of 580,649 total votes cast in the state.
The result was announced on Monday at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) National Collation Centre in Abuja, by the State Returning Officer, Prof. Kyari Mohammed.
Mohammed, who is also the Vice Chancellor of Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, scored 138,484 votes in the state.
According to him, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Coalition Party (PCP), Felix Nicholas, polls 1,679 votes while Ibrahim Hassan of African Peoples Alliance (APA) gets 925 votes.
He said that out of the 1,385,191 total registered voters in the state, 604,240 were accredited. The number of valid votes was 554,203, while 26,446 were rejected.
Mohammed said that election was cancelled in 13 polling units in two Local Government Areas (LGAs) with 7,090 registered voters in the affected areas.
The cancelled polling units include 11 in Balanga LGA with 6,308 voters and two polling units with 782 registered voters in Duku LGA.
However, Atiku won his home state of Adamawa.
Declaring the result on Monday in Yola, the Presidential election Returning Officer for Adamawa, Prof. Andrew Yakubu, said Abubakar scored 410,266 votes to defeat Atiku who scored 378,078 votes.
Yakubu said the total number of registered voters in the state was 1,959,322 ,while 874,920 voters were accredited
The Presidential election results are from the 21 local government areas of Adamawa.
PDP won in 11 local government areas and APC in 10 Areas.
The local government areas won by the opposition PDP are Hong, Guyuk, Lamurde, Numan, Demsa, Mayo-Belwa, Madagali and Song.
Others are Gombi, Michika and Jada Local Government Areas.
The ruling APC won in Yola South, Yola North, Mubi South, Mubi North, Girei, Maiha, Ganye, Fufore , Shelleng and Toungo local government areas.
Atiku also won in Imo.
The results were announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer in Imo, Prof. Benjamin Ozurumba on Monday.
He said the PDP won in 25 local government areas to defeat its closest rival, the All Progressives Congress (APC) that won two, Oru East and Ideato South.
Local government areas won by the PDP are Oguta, Isu, Nwangele, Ezinihite Mbaise, Nkwerre, Oru west, Njaba, Owerri North, Onuimo, Ohaji-Egbema, Owerri municipal, Ahiazu Mbaise and Ngor Okpala.
Others are Orlu, Owerri West, Aboh Mbaise, Ehime Mbano, Obowo, Ikeduru, Mbaitoli, Isiala Mbano, Orsu, Ihitte-Uboma, Ideato North and Okigwe.
Ozurumba said that the PDP scored a total of 334,923 votes to beat the APC that polled 140,463 votes and the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) that polled 10,880 votes.
Out of a total of 542,777 votes cast, 511,586 were valid while 31,191 votes were rejected.
Atiku also won in Benue.
Declaring the results on Tuesday in Makurdi, the State Constituency Collation Officer, Prof Sebastine Maimako, said Atiku polled a total of 355,255 votes to beat his closest rival, Buhari, who scored 347,668 votes.
He said the total number of votes cast were 761,780, the valid votes were 727,347, the total number of registered voters was 2,391,276 while total accredited votes stood at 786,069.
Atiku won in 13 of 23 Local Government Areas while Buhari won in 10.
Atiku won in Ukum, Opokwu, Guma, Ogbadibo, Gwer West, Buruku, Logo, Agatu, Apa, Ado, Obi, Gwer East and Katsina -Ala.
Buhari won in Tarka, Gboko, Otukpo, Oju, Makurdi, Ushongo, Ohimini,
Kwande, Vandeikya and Konshisha LGAs.
In Edo State, Atiku narrowly won with 7849 votes more than Buhari.
The State Collation Officer for the Presidential election, Prof. Ndowa Lale announced at the INEC headquarters in Benin that Atiku scored 275,691 votes, while Buhari of the All Progressives Congress scored 267,842 votes.
However, Buhari beat Atiku in the number of councils won. He won in 10 while Atiku won in eight.
Lale, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port-Harcourt, said the total number of registered voters in state was 2,150,127 while the total number of accredited voters was 604,915.
Lale noted that the number of valid votes was 560,711 while 38,517 votes were rejected.
He further said the total number of votes cast was 599,228.
Expectedly, Atiku won in Enugu.
The result was announced at the National Collation Centre (ICC) Abuja, by Prof. Joseph Ehaneku, the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, who is the Collation Officer for the election in the state.
Ehaneku announced that Atiku polled 355,553 votes to defeat All Progressives Congress (APC)’s President Muhamadu Buhari, who scored 54,423 votes.
Obadiah Mailafia of African Democratic Congress (ADC) was third with 348 votes.
Mr Donald Duke of Social Democratic Party (SDP) came fourth with 472 votes.
According to him, Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC) polled 219 votes, and Yusuf Yabagi of Action Democratic Party (ADP) scored 137 votes.
He said that total registered voters in Abia were 1,935,168 but that 452,765 were accredited, while total votes cast in the polls were 451,014 with 30,049 rejected.
Ehaneku noted that elections did not hold in two out of 11 local government areas in the state with 5,578 voters affected as a result of the cancellations.
In Rivers State, Atiku is leading in 10 of the 23 Local Government Areas.
The latest results announced by Collation Officers of Khana, Ogu/Bolo and Opobo/Nkoro, showed Atiku maintaining his lead over Buhari.
The breakdown of the results showed that the former Vice President got a total of 333,385 in 10 LGAs, while Buhari garnered 75,440 in the two LGAs.
Announcing the results, the Collation Officer of Khana LGA, Okechukwu Francis said that Atiku won with 89,843 as against 5,329 of Buhari while Solari Otobo, Collation Officer of Ogu/Bolo said that Atiku got 8,221 as against 2,148 of the incumbent President.
On his part, Prof. Clifford Oforum, Collation Officer of Opobo/Nkoro, said that Buhari scored 3,706 votes while Atiku got 3,573 votes.
Results released by the electoral umpire on Monday showed that in Oyibo, Atiku scored 16,102 votes as against 3,520 votes of Buhari while in Omuma, he won with 15,322 votes as against 2,494 votes scored by Buhari.
The rest of the results showed that Atiku won in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni with 28,536 votes; Obio/Akpor, 69,981; Eleme, 8,464; Andoni, 72,330; Etche, 11,135, and Gokana, 10,276 votes.
Buhari polled 18,180 votes to win in Asari-Toru while Atiku got 3,175 votes.
The Collation Officer for Andoni, Prof Prince Oghenekaro, while announcing the results, said that Ward 6 of the LGA had no election as election materials were allegedly carted away by hoodlums.
Also, Dr Godwin Ihenacho, a Collation Officer for Etche LGA, said that there was no election in Ward 14 of the area due to hijack of election materials.
The Collation Officer for Obio/Akpor LGA, Prof. Arthur Nwafor, said the result so far was from 13 out of 17 wards.
He added that four wards — 1, 3, 15 and 16 — which generated a total of 4,000 votes, were not collated due to the security situation in the wards at the time of collation.
Atiku also won in Abia State.
The result was announced at the National Collation Centre (ICC) Abuja, by Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, the Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi, who was the Collation Officer for the election in the state.
Nwajiuba announced that Atiku polled 219,698 votes to defeat the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, who scored 85,048 votes.
Similarly, Mr Donald Duke of Social Democratic Party (SDP) was announced as coming third with 472 votes.
According to him, Obadiah Mailafia of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) scored 336 votes, Mr Omoyele Sowore of African Action Congress (AAC) polled 212 votes and Yusuf Yabagi of Action Democratic Party (ADP) got 131 votes.
He said the number of registered voters in Abia was 1,793,861 but 361,561 were accredited, while votes cast in the polls were 344,471 with 21,180 rejected.
Nwajiuba noted that 98 polling units across seven Local Government Areas of the state were affected, while the number of registered voters affected was 59,825.
