President Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday, suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Hon. Justice Walter Onnoghen.
The presidency has been having a running battle with Onnoghen over false and non declaration of assets.
Buhari immediately swore in Hon. Justice Ibrahim Tanko Mohammed as acting CJN.
On Thursday, the Court of Appeal in Abuja ordered the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) to stop the ongoing trial of Onnoghen.
