President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday sacked Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA).
He also reinstated Mr. Habibu Abdullahi as the MD.
A few days to his exit from office, former President Goodluck Jonathan had sacked Abdullahi and appointed Ado Bayero to replace him.
But in a statement on Thursday by Buhari’s Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, Ado Bayero was ordered by the President to hand over to Abdullahi immediately.
The statement reads: “President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero.
“The termination of Alhaji Bayero’s appointment is with immediate effect. He is to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Habibu Abdullahi who has been reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA by President Buhari.
“President Buhari wishes Alhaji Bayero well in his future endeavours”.
