Nigeria’s Super Eagles, on Sunday, looked too sure of playing alongside football giants in Brazil during the 2014 World Cup.

Members of the team defeated Ethiopia’s Walya Antelopes 2-1 in Addis Ababa during the FIFA World Cup playoff match.

The Nigerian team also won $4,000 promised by Guinness. The bottling giant had promised $2,000 for each goal scored by the Nigerians.

The Super Eagles came back from a goal deficit from Ethiopia’s Asafa to equalise through Emmanuel Emenike in the second half and at the 90th minute, he scored another goal through a penalty, thus sealing the fate of the Ethiopians in their quest to go to Brazil.

It is generally believed that with the three points secured already, the Nigerians will defeat their Ethiopian counterparts in the return leg fixed for Calabar on November 16.

Nigeria is ranked 36th in the world and 4th in Africa. Ethiopia is 93rd in FIFA  ranking.
