Boxing: Adamu, Nielsen go face-to-face

Danish Super middleweight talent, Patrick Nielsen (25-1, 12 Kos) will be making a first defence of his WBA International title against Nigerian-born Ghanaian boxer, Charles Adamu (23-6, 17 Kos) on Saturday night at the Ballerup Super Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark.
At today’s final press meeting, the 24 year-old southpaw revealed his plans to stop the experienced Ghanaian inside the distance.
“Fans are going to see a ferocious Patrick Nielsen in the ring,” said the Albertslund-boxer. “I want to deliver a devastating performance and send Adamu crashing to the canvas. I feel like I’ve really settled at the weight and now I’m punching harder than ever. Adamu has my respect but as soon as the bell rings, I’m going for the knockout”.
Adamu shares Nielsen’s confidence and has travelled to Copenhagen intent on claiming the young Dane’s title.
“I have come to Denmark to beat Patrick and to take his belt,” said the former Commonwealth champion. “I have fought and beat better fighters than him and on Saturday, I will do everything in my power to win.”
