Blatter: Anybody who calls me corrupt should go to jail

FIFA President Sepp Blatter believes anyone who thinks he has anything to do with the corruption scandal at the world football house should “go to jail.”
The 70-year-old FIFA boss said: “I am open to correct or positive criticism. I can use that to reconsider if I need to change in the future. But if anybody calls me corrupt because FIFA is corrupt, I can only shake my head. Everybody who says something like that should go to jail.”
Blatter has long maintained his innocence and surprise that the employees of the organisation could have done anything wrong, but his credibility has been somewhat weakened.
Fourteen senior executives have been charged with crimes dating back 24 years and Blatter has already conceded that he can’t monitor what everyone is up to all of the time.
“My faith has given me strength during the last week. I am a religious person and I pray, too. I own a golden cross that has been blessed by Pope Francis. I believe I will go to heaven one day. But I believe there is no hell. I disagree with the Pope on that.”
