‘Behind The Scenes’ has set a new benchmark at the Nigerian box office, grossing N512 million in its second weekend to emerge as the number one film of the weekend.

The movie, produced by Funke Akindele and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, has become the fastest Nollywood film to cross the N500 million mark, cementing its place in box office history.

In a celebratory post shared on its official Instagram page, FilmOne expressed gratitude to audiences across West Africa for the overwhelming support, describing the performance as a historic milestone for the industry.

“Thank you West Africa. Another history has been made,” the distributor said, adding that the movie has delivered a box office smash hit of N512 million, a feat unmatched by any Nollywood title within such a short period.

The film’s strong opening underscores Funke Akindele’s continued dominance at the box office, further reinforcing her reputation as one of Nollywood’s most bankable filmmakers.

Behind The Scenes delves into the realities behind fame, exploring themes of success, generosity, public expectations and the emotional cost that often lies beneath glamorous appearances.

With its record-breaking debut and growing word-of-mouth, the film is expected to sustain its momentum and remain a major attraction in cinemas nationwide in the coming weeks.
