Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Twenty three lawmakers also defected with him to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A source said that the date for the formal declaration would be announced soon.
Hours before, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State dumped PDP for APC.
