Osigwe is a strong ally of Governor Godwin Obaseki, mobilising voters for the governor’s reelection in the build up to the September 19 election.
After shooting for some minutes, members of the local security group in the area launched a counter attack before policemen joined them.

Bullet holes were seen on the building. Windscreen of vehicles were also affected.
One of the policemen simply said: “We are going after them. Don’t worry. They will be arrested”.
