Attack on mosque: Kwankwaso reaffirms commitment to protection of lives, property

rabiu_musa_kwankwasoGov. Rabi’u Kwankwaso of Kano State on Wednesday reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to protect lives and property of residents in the state.

He gave the assurance when he visited the victims of Tuesday’s attack at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) in Kano.

He said the state government would continue to do its best to ensure security of lives and property.

According to him, government will continue to support security agencies in the state, to enable to discharge their duties effectively.

The governor prayed to God to grant the families of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss and the injured ones quick recovery.

He called for continuous prayers for the sustenance of peace in the state and the country at large.

Earlier, while conducting the governor round the ward, the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Aminu Mohammed, said seven of the 13 victims on admission had been discharged.

He said the remaining six, who were still on admission, were responding to treatment.

Gunmen on Tuesday attacked a mosque in Kwankwaso village, killed three persons and injured 13 others.
