At Augustine University, Alara says ‘research an indispensable part of human society’

The Alara of Ilara Kingdom, Epe Lagos State, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Kayode Ogunsanwo, has said that Nigeria is not conducting enough research to advance the development of the country.

Oba Ogunsanwo stated this in Epe on Wednesday, at the on-going first research fair organised by the Centre for Human Resources Development of Augustine University, Ilara, Epe, Lagos State.

While describing research as an indispensable part of human society, Oba Ogunsanwo charged the various institutions of higher learning in the country to carry out more research into the myriad of problems facing the nation.

The Alara argued that research was key to various aspects of our national life ranging from economy, politics, technology, arts and culture stressing that more research should be carried out in a bid to find concrete solutions to our national problems.

He congratulated the Chairman of CENHURD, Prof( Mrs) Adesola Ajayi, for putting up what he called ” a timely,relevant and result-oriented theme for the fair”.

The theme of the fair is:Conceptualising the research culture through innovation and product development.

Academics from various universities across the country attended the research fair and presented various scholarly papers.
