ASUSS pledges support for Ogun ANA

The Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools in Ogun State (ASUSS) has promised to support all the developmental initiatives of the Ogun State Chapter of Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA).

The Chairman of ASUSS, Comrade Felix Agbesanwa, made the pledge whilst hosting executive members of Ogun ANA who paid a courtesy call to the ASUSS Secretariat in Abeokuta.

He said ASUSS will support efforts to revive the reading culture in the state by retooling libraries in schools with contemporary books and internet-enabled computers.

Comrade Agbesanwa pledged the support of ASUSS to the successful hosting of the convention of South West Authors Forum (SWAF) scheduled to hold in Abeokuta in April.

Speaking earlier, the Ogun State Chairman of ANA, Dr. Chris Omotosho asked for collaboration with the over 11,000 members of ASUSS to raise the standard of education in the state.
He also asked for the inclusion of books written by bona-fide members of ANA in the education curriculum in the state.

On hand to receive Ogun ANA members with Comrade Agbesanwa were the Secretary of ASUSS, Comrade Akeem Oluseyi Bankole, Mrs Abimbola Kudehinbu, Comrade Michael Akinniyi and Comrade Ayobami Oyetunji.

The Chairman of Ogun ANA, Dr. Omotosho was accompanied on the courtesy call by the Secretary, Mr. Femi Sanyaolu, the Treasurer, Mr. Sam Ogunyinka and the PRO, Dare Folarin.
