The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 24 of the 26 legislative seats in Osun.
The result of Saturday’s House of Assembly election announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday showed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the remaining two seats.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), APC won in Boripe/Boluwaduro, Ifelodun, Ila, Ifedayo, Irepodun/Orolu , Odo-Otin Olorunda, Osogbo , Atakunmosa-West and East, Ife-North, Ife-South and Ilesa-East.
The APC also secured victory in Ilesa-West, Obokun, Oriade , Ayedaade , Ayedire , Ede-North, Ede-South, Egbedore , Irewole/Isokan , Iwo , Olaoluwa and Ejigbo.
INEC said that the PDP won in Ife Central and Ife East.
In Ogun State, the APC won 17 of the 26 legislative seats in the House of Assembly.
According to the result announced by INEC on Sunday, the PDP won the remaining nine seats.
The APC won in Obafemi-Owode, Abeokuta South 1, Ewekoro, Abeokuta South 11, Abeokuta North, Ikenne, Odeda, Remo-North, Ijebu-North 11, Sagamu 1 and Odogbolu.
The APC also won in Ifo 1, Ifo 11, Ado-Odo/Ota 1, Ado-Odo/Ota 11, Ogun Waterside and Egbado North1.
The PDP secured victory in Egbado 11, Imeko-Afon, Egbado South, Ipokia/Idiroko, Ijebu-North1, Sagamu11 and Egbado North11.
APC and PDP are currently controlling 13 and 10 seats respectively while the Social Democratic Party (SDP) controls three seats.
While the Speaker, Mr Suraj Adekunbi was re-elected, his deputy, Mr Tola Banjo, representing Ijebu Ode Constituency, lost.
