The Action Peoples Party (APP), on Saturday, won 22 of 23 chairmanship positions in the local government elections in Rivers State.
Justice Adolphus Enebeli, the Chief Election Officer of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), announced this on Saturday in Port Harcourt after collation of results.
He noted that results for Etche Local Government Area have been temporarily withheld due to ongoing collation processes. Enebeli confirmed that the Etche results will be announced alongside the outcomes for the 319 councillorship seats at a later date.
