The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State has suspended five of its members in Baruten Local Government Area of the North-Central state for anti party activities.
The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Sulaiman Buhari, announced the suspension in a statement in Ilorin on Thursday.
Senator Mohammed Ahmed, and a state legislator, Alhaji Adamu Sabi, were suspended for one year, while Muhammed Omar Bio, Chairman of Baruten Local Government Area, was suspended for six months.
Alhaji Aliyu Kora-Sabi and Muhammed Sunu Gofe were also suspended from the party for one year each.
According to the statement, their suspension followed a report submitted by a panel of enquiry set up by the state APC into their activities.
The statement said that all the suspensions were with immediate effect.
