The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Abubakar Baraje-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have agreed to merge.
This information is contained in a communiqué jointly signed by Chief Bisi Akande, APC Interim National Chairman and Alhaji Kawu Abubakar Baraje-led PDP splinter group in Abuja on Tuesday.
The communiqué stated that the meeting between APC and PDP splinter group was held at the residence of Kano State governor, Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso, in Abuja.
According to the communiqué after exhaustive deliberations the two parties agreed to merge to rescue the fledgling democracy and the nation.
The PDP splinter group, emerged when it walkout during the PDP National convention in August.
