Former Governor of Ogun State and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Otunba Gbenga Daniel, on Friday, held a meeting in Abuja with the National Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Mala Mai Buni.
Discussions at the meeting centered around initiatives towards repositioning the party to effectively tackle the current challenges facing the nation in general.
The Chairman reiterated his excitement about having Daniel on board, stating that the party and the country at large will benefit greatly from his experience and deep knowledge and understanding of the polity. He said: “I heartily welcome you into our great party”.
Daniel, however, assured the National Chairman that he would do all that is required to unite all members and leaders of the party and recreate a common front going forward for the success of the party in all elections.
Governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, was also at the meeting.
