Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, imposed a one-year suspension on a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Cook-Olododo, for alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension was announced in a statement in Ilorin by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Buhari.
According to the statement, 17 other members received varying sanctions for the same offence.
An APC member, Alhaji Tunde Saad, was also placed on one year suspension.
The other 16 members suspended for six months are Mr Mashood Dauda; Mr Oba Sulaiman Asude; Mr Lukman Adeloyin, Alhaji Wahab Tobe, Mr Sa’ad Yero, Mr Iyanda Olori and Alhaji Amuda Bembe.
Others include Alhaji Amuda Musbau; Mr Zafi Saka Adanla; Alhaji AbdulRaheem Adanla; Alhaji Abdrahaman Sa’ad’ Alhaji Saliman Rasak, Hon. Raimi Akanji; Alhaji Baba Alata; Alhaji Raufu Asude and Mr Fatai Olodo.
All the suspended members are from Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state.
The suspension, he said, followed the recommendations of an Investigative and Disciplinary Committee chaired by Alhaji Dare Garba which probed the alleged anti-party allegations of the affected persons during the 2015 general elections.
