fatai_amooNew Sunshine Stars coach, Fatai Amoo, has vowed to deliver a continental ticket at the end of the season.

Sunshine reached the semi-finals of the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup and a year later they also reached the last four of the Champions League.

Amoo, who was appointed on Monday, said he has been mandated to get Sunshine Stars a continental ticket and he has promised to deliver it.

“The mandate given to me is to win a continental ticket by the end of the season, I know is very difficult but it is achievable,” Amoo said.

“I hope to deliver continental ticket, but I am not going to do it alone but with the help of my players, fellow coaches, the management likewise with the support of the fans.

“All we need now is to be focused and I know things will work out for us at the end of the season.”

Amoo marks his return to the Akure club with a home game against Nasrawa United on Wednesday.

“All the teams in the league are good and so we need against Nasarawa to be focused and not think we have already won the match,” he said.

“We are going to earn the maximum three points. We won’t underrate them but we will play our game and get the result we want.”
