The attention of Rivers State Police Command has been drawn to the news story going the rounds particularly in the social media to the effect that Rt. Hon. Chibuike R. Amaechi, the Minister of Transportation, on 12/03/2014 along Port Harcourt-Omagwa road, arrested and manhandled a policeman.
2. The Command initially decided to keep sealed lips but observed the untrue story continues to go viral and unabated.
3. Consequently, the Command wish to state categorically that the story is untrue and that it did not happened. Members of the public are hereby enjoined to discountenance and ignore the story in its entirety, please.
