Welcoming guests which included travel agents and other industry practitioners to the event, Mr Yann Gilbert, General Manager for Nigeria and Ghana, said that the decision to move from the GRA, Ikeja office was taken with due consideration to the need to move closer to customers of the company.

Gilbert told his audience that the company, in appreciation of the support it has received from travel agents in its 15 years of doing business in Nigeria, was poised to make the conduct of business as easy as possible for all Amadeus clients and that this was part of the reasons the company moved its office to Ikoyi.

He also cited the recent understanding reached between the company and Med-View Airline, which will make its full range of travel offers available through the travel agency channel and the constant development of new products which allow for the convenience of all customers of the company and their clients.

He explained that one of the latest products, Amadeus Selling Connect, was introduced to make it very easy for travel agents to work on the platform anywhere they are without much encumbrance “even as we are trying to improve and offer more content airlines, hotels, car rental on our system”, Gilbert said.

He explained that Nigeria is one of the most important countries to Amadeus worldwide and thanked customers and Nigerian staff of the company for making the company the first choice in the country.

Present at the event were Vice President, Amadeus Africa, Mr. Paul de Villiers, President, National Association of Nigerian Travel Agents (NANTA), Mr. Bankole Bernand, Managing Director, Aviator Travels, Mrs. Tinuke Nwakohu, among other dignitaries.
