Alleged treasonable comment: Fayose carpets Ekiti APC

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has described the allegation of treasonable comments made against him by the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), through its spokesman, Taiwo Olatubosun, as not only ridiculous but coming from an unsound mind.
In a statement in Ado-Ekiti on Monday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Asdelusi, he‎ said the tone of the statement by Olatubosun really showed his poor state of mind.
“There is no point wrestling with a pig. For people with sound, discerning minds, they would, no doubt, wonder why somebody with a decent background and sound mind would refer to the governor of his state as needing psychiatric attention or not been able to survive in a law abiding society?
“Politics apart, this is madness taken too far and beyond redemption. Governo‎r Ayodele Fayose came and clean up the mess left by the Kayode Fayemi administration and it’s hordes of blood suckers, who made Ekiti State to bleed to a point of coma. He has not only been alive to his duty as the indefatigable leader of the state, but has consistently put smiles on the faces of the people.
“It‎ was Fayemi that came to office and started with blood letting with the murder of Chief Awolumate and ended with no fewer than 12 murders.
“If Olatubosun and his sponsors are pique‎d that Mr Governor is crticising the President, they can go and jump into the lagoon, Lagos is not too far from Ekiti. They must know that Governor Ayodele Fayose, like any other Nigerian, is exercising his constitutional rights of freedom of speech. He has not breached anybody’s rights by constructively commenting on national issues.
“If they also feel they can cow him to submission or shut him up, that is a pipe dream. They are only waiting for when the crab would sleep and would wait for eternity. If the APC knows that a training camp is in Ifaki-Ekiti for their imaginary militias, why not take security agents to the place?
“Olatubosun and his shameless sponsors would do themselves a lot of good by forcing themselves to get over their woeful performance in Ekiti elections and the ‘Amalekite-kind’ of defeat they suffered in the June 21, 2014 governorship election. For how long would they continue to wail?,he said.
Adelusi urged right-thinking members of the society to continue to support Governor Fayose and be rest assured that the governor would continue to give their welfare top priority.
