Victorious Golden Eaglets goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu, has expressed his disappointment on the news concerning his transfer to Portuguese top division side, Estoril Football Club.
The goalkeeper said: “I am really disappointed with all the stories in the news about my transfer to Estoril in Portugal. It seems many people are not interested in my development and career but only what they can gain from me. I am a human being and nobody’s property. I don’t owe Mr. Adebayo or Mr. Olanrewaju anything rather, they are the ones owing me,” Alampasu said.
He noted that Olusola Orelaja his agent has done everything within his powers to secure the transfer to Estoril FC, after spending time on trials in Belgium with Genk FC, in Spain with Oviedo FC and in Portugal with Braga FC. My agent has been spending his own money for flights, hotel, kits and pocket money every month since 2013, even before I went to Abuja to join the Under-17 national team camp.

The goalkeeper stated that his agent has also been helping both Mr. Ojo Olanrewaju and Mr. Adebayo financially during this period. “So, I don’t understand why they are talking and making all these allegations in the press against him.

“Yes, Mr. Olanrewaju took me to Future Stars at a very young age, where I spent over four years. It was after this that Mr. Adebayo took me to Abuja Football College without the knowledge of Future Stars Academy management. It was for this reason I gave both of them and their families a lot of money from the gifts and cash I received after the World Cup.”
Speaking further, Alampasu disclosed that Mr. Adebayo still owes him money which he borrowed some time ago, saying I have not spoken to him since March 2014.
On the issue of Remo Stars FC laying claim to his ownership, he informed that they only helped him to actualize his dream of signing a professional contract and also developing him better. They didn’t make any money from the free transfer because I was physically present at the negotiating table in Portugal.
He noted that on the issue of the Abuja Football College, he spent only six months with them after playing and winning gold with Lagos State at the 2012 National Sports Festival. They made an attempt to send me to a Mexican clubside after the World Cup but I refused, my father too was not comfortable with the move to Mexico, my agent as well was not happy with it. This was not in my interest. Since then they didn’t come with another offer. And now that I have a contract with another foreign club they are not happy with it, which is not good enough.”

He revealed that his move to the Portuguese club was on a free transfer, making him to go straight into the first team and not the academy. I am happy, that is why I am begging all these people to leave me alone to further my career as I still have a lot to learn in the game,” Dele Alampasu.
