Akor Adams returns to club with a bang, hits brace to rescue Sevilla

Super Eagles striker, Akor Adams, marked his return to club football in emphatic fashion on Monday night, scoring twice as Sevilla fought back to secure a 2-2 draw against Elche at the Manuel Martínez Valero Stadium.

Adams, who started the match on the bench, was introduced at the start of the second half in place of Gerard Fernández and went on to turn the game around for the visitors.

His impact silenced the home crowd as he struck twice within a dramatic 25-minute spell.

The Nigerian international pulled one back for Sevilla in the 75th minute, calmly beating Elche goalkeeper Iñaki Peña, who is on loan from Barcelona.

Deep into stoppage time, Adams completed his brace in style, dispatching a powerful penalty into the roof of the net in the second minute of stoppage time to restore parity.
Akor, it will be recalled scored two goals at the just concluded AFCON and was a prominent member of the Nigerian team that finished with a bronze medal at the continental tournament.
