Akeredolu: Fayose is a liar with no shame

Governor Ayodele Fayose addressed a press conference today through his Special Assistant on New media and Public communication, Lere Olayinka, on issues relating to the Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN. Ordinarily, we would have kept mute on this issues but for the unsuspecting members of the society who Lere and his boss are attempting to hoodwink with deliberate and calculated falsehood.
To set the records straight, Ondo state is presently witnessing massive infrastructural development in all sectors of the state. Just today at the state executive council meeting, a number of projects were approved for execution. That’s how development is moving in Ondo state.
Governor Fayose and his boy should be reminded that the Akeredolu led administration in Ondo State has performed creditably well in the last one year and few months.
Governor Fayose’s accusation that Governor Akeredolu brought 150 policemen into Ekiti is preposterous and intellectually lazy. When Fayose and his cronies failed to pin the Saturday’s shooting on Governor Akeredolu, they have now resorted to lies, fabrication and concerted stories.
It shamed Govenor Fayose that the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO in Ekiti state, Caleb Okechukwu cleared the air by exposing the facts that the shooter was a police officer  brought from Lagos by an Ekiti Politician. Ordinarily, mischievous Fayose and his boy should have buried their heads in shame but, it’s true that liars have no shame.
Having realized that the falsehood being spread around on the Saturday’s shooting has been punctured by the Police revelation, the Ekiti Governor has now settled for a new accusation that Arakunrin Akeredolu came to Ekiti with 150 policemen. The question every intelligent mind is asking is, 150 policemen for what?
Let me quickly tell Nigerians, particularly the good people of Ondo and Ekiti states that, this is another lie from the stable of the Lying machine occupying the seat of power in Ekiti state.
However, it has become necessary that we alert the security agencies in the country on the false accusation leveled against Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu by Governor Fayose and his town crier, Lere, who only a few years ago wrote a detailed report about the devious activities of his master. That is, however, a matter for another day.
It is also important for Lere and his boss to know one very important fact, that unlike his boss, we are committed to the progress and peaceful co-existence between the state and Ekiti. I mean, aren’t we one before October, 1996? The seed of discord Governor  Fayose is trying to plant between the two state will not germinate no matter how much cunning he is.
We will love to state here categorically without mincing words that Governor Akeredolu reserves every right to show support for the candidate of his party in Ekiti state, just as Governor Nysom Wike of Rivers State  and the rest are showing support for the PDP in the state. There is no law that prohibits that. Governor Fayose and the PDP are making issues out of this because of the smell of defeat that has overwhelmed them.
Governor Fayose also tried to rewrite the incident that occurred on Saturday, claiming that the tear gas canisters that hit a taxi driver was fired by the policemen that accompanied the thugs from Akure. Residents of Ekiti and those who were present during the incident knew that the pandemonium that greeted the shooting at the APC secretariat necessitated the tear gas canisters fired by the policemen. Please note that the Policemen who fired the tear gas canisters were duly drafted to the secretariat by the Ekiti state police command to forestall the breakdown of law and order.
Governor Fayose surely has a question to answer with this endless accusation despite the Police revelation on the identity of the Shooter. My questions for Governor Fayose are : Do you know more than the Police in this case? Did Akeredolu bring the Policeman who mistakenly fired the shot? Is it Akeredolu’s fault that there was accidental discharge from a policeman he never met before? Is it right to begin to draw an innocent Governor into what he knows nothing about?
All lovers of democracy should be worried at the rate  Governor Fayose is pursuing the July 14, election in Ekiti with blatant lies and cheap blackmail. These are known strategies of low thinking, feeble minded and weakling politicians. I am taking about Politicians who know next to nothing and intellectually bankrupt.
On several occasions, we have come out straight to debunk the lies of Lere and his boss over an alleged statement made by Governor Akeredolu that he was ready to use two months allocations from his state for Dr. Fayemi’s election.
But again, such lies can only be told by people of low esteem. As we speak, the workers’ friendly governor in Ondo state has paid the May salary of workers in Ondo state. We are not owning a dime.
Lere is like the son of a mother with one foot. The foolish son went to the market to buy a pair of shoes. The question for him is on which foot would the mother wear the shoes? Lere should be honourable enough to tell the world how many months salary his master is owing civil servants in Ekiti state.
The Ekiti election is July 14, and Governor Akeredolu has paid May salary with the allocation for May. But Lere and his boss are still pushing the story of the governor planning to use two months allocation to pursue Ekiti election. Can you now see how intellectually lazy Lere is? Can Nigerians now see how pathetic Lere could be?
For the records, Governor Akeredolu has recorded landmark achievements in the last 15 months of his administration in Ondo state. Fayose and Lere should take a ride to Akure and see what Akeredolu has done at Iwalewa and Abusoro. Or better still, Fayose should take a trip to the whole of Ondo State and see projects like : Construction of Iwalewa Road, Akure, Construction of Sabomi Road, Ese Odo,  Construction of Abusoro, Ijoka Road, Akure,  Construction of Opasorun road, Bajare/Okemayo, Construction of St. Joseph Road in Idanre, Construction of 3 box culverts at Oyinmomo  Ishakunmi and Megida Rental Road , Ikare.
Others are Construction of Jubilee – Ugbe Road, Ikare, Construction of Oke Alafia Road, Supare,  Construction of Ogbomo Ifedara, Ajegunle Streets and Howlet Road, Ifon,  Construction of Ilara Mokin /Ikota, otherwise known as Gulf C road, Ilara, Construction of Police Road, Ore,  Construction of Virgin road network within GRA to Prison, Owo, Construction of internal and access roads within the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH) Okitipupa, Rehabilitation of the deadly Iwaro Oka hill and the ongoing work at the notorious Oke Alabujoto in Ikare Akoko. This is to mention but a few.
Well, it might be that Lere and his masters are blind to all there legacy projects spread across the state. Oh! Maybe Lere would rather have Governor Akeredolu stop by at a motor park, the roadside Paraga seller or even do a road show on okada to tell the people that he is working.
Governor Fayose and Lere also attempted to drag Governor Akeredolu into the attack by the herdsmen on Chief Olu Falae’s farm. What I don’t understand is whether Fayose understood what he was saying and the import of his statement. Akeredolu sympathized with Chief Falae over the attack and also issued a strong warning to Herdsmen to vacate the state. No single incident of herdsmen attack has been heard since then.  We are aware that same herdsmen kidnapped Chief Falae under the PDP administration in the state. He who comes to equity, must come with clean hands.
We want to urge Nigerians to disregard the blatant lies being spread around by Governor  Fayose and his attack dog, Lere .Today in Ekiti, politics has been turned into a do or die affair by Fayose. His only strategy is lying and concocted  stories. We are therefore, advising him and his cronies to go and prepare for the election. Thousands of Govenor FAYOSE can not stop Akeredolu and other APC governors from coming to campaign in Ekiti state.

Special Assistant to the Govenor (New Media).
