Air Peace Limited has announced a major expansion of its domestic flight operations for the Summer 2026 travel season, alongside plans to launch new regional routes across Africa starting August 1.
The development includes increased flight frequencies on high-demand Nigerian routes as well as the introduction of new services to Cameroon, Gabon, Mali, and Guinea.
According to the airline, the expanded schedule is aimed at improving connectivity across Nigeria and meeting rising passenger demand during the peak travel season.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the airline spokesperson, Mr Efe Osifo-Whiskey, in Lagos.
Osifo-Whiskey said the new schedule, effective June 22, 2026, reflects Air Peace’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through improved convenience and flexibility.
Under the revised domestic schedule, several key routes will see significant increases in daily operations:
- Lagos–Abuja: 7 daily flights
- Lagos–Owerri: 4 daily flights
- Lagos–Asaba: 3 daily flights
- Lagos–Benin: 2 daily flights
- Lagos–Warri: 2 daily flights
- Lagos–Enugu: 2 daily flights
- Abuja–Owerri: up to 2 daily flights
- Abuja–Asaba: 2 daily flights
The airline said the expansion will be supported by its modern aircraft fleet, designed to improve reliability, comfort, and operational efficiency.
Osifo-Whiskey explained that the airline is increasing capacity to align with rising summer travel demand across Nigeria.
He added that the expanded schedule will provide passengers with more flexible departure times and improved connectivity across major cities.
“Our goal is to connect people, businesses and communities while delivering a superior travel experience,” he said.
He also noted that the expansion supports economic activities, including trade, tourism, and national integration.
In addition to domestic growth, Air Peace confirmed plans to begin regional operations to four African destinations:
- Douala, Cameroon
- Libreville, Gabon
- Bamako, Mali
- Conakry, Guinea
The new international routes will commence on August 1, 2026, marking a major step in the airline’s African expansion strategy.
- Lagos–Douala–Libreville–Douala–Lagos: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays
- Lagos–Bamako–Conakry–Bamako–Lagos: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays
The airline said the routes will strengthen Lagos as a major aviation hub in West and Central Africa, while improving connectivity across the continent.
Air Peace said the expansion aligns with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the Single African Air Transport Market (SAATM).
According to the airline, improved air connectivity will promote trade, tourism, investment, and cultural exchange across African countries.
Passengers will also benefit from seamless onward connections to Nigerian cities including Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Owerri, Benin, Gombe, and Ibadan.
