Air Peace Limited has taken delivery of a brand-new Embraer E175 aircraft as part of its ongoing fleet modernisation and route expansion strategy.

The aircraft arrived in Nigeria on Tuesday evening and landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the airline’s spokesperson, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the new aircraft represents another major step in Air Peace’s plan to improve passenger service and strengthen connectivity across Nigeria and Africa.

The Embraer E175, registered in Nigeria as 5N-CGH, is the first brand-new aircraft of its type to join the Air Peace fleet. The jet has an 88-seat configuration and is expected to support the airline’s domestic, regional and international operations.

Osifo-Whiskey said the aircraft was delivered after a successful ferry flight from Brazil, where it had been formally handed over to officials of Air Peace by Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer.

He noted that the addition of the fuel-efficient aircraft aligns with the airline’s investment in modern equipment to meet rising passenger demand.

Air Peace said the new jet would help the carrier expand its network within Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa and other international destinations.

The airline also expects the aircraft to improve operational flexibility, enhance passenger experience and support more reliable flight services on key routes.

According to Osifo-Whiskey, the arrival of the Embraer E175 will contribute to Nigeria’s aviation sector by improving air connectivity, supporting tourism and promoting regional integration.

He added that the aircraft would also play a role in economic development by making movement easier for passengers and businesses across Nigeria and other African markets.

Air Peace, one of Nigeria’s leading airlines, has continued to invest in fleet growth as part of its broader ambition to strengthen its presence in the African aviation market.

The delivery of the new Embraer E175 comes as demand for efficient domestic and regional air travel continues to grow across Nigeria and the wider West African region.
