Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Burial Committee for former Governor Olusegun Agagu of Ondo State, Hon Mayowa Akinfolarin, on Thursday said that despite the plane crash, the remains would be interred on Friday.
He said the burial would still go on as planned because “there is no point keeping the corpse of the former governor”.
According to him, if he is not buried immediately, the remains would be destroyed.
He said: “If the remains were returned to the mortuary, the body would decompose”.
Akinfolarin added that party members, family friends and sympathisers would honour the former governor at Iju-Odo, Okitipupa Local Government during the burial on Friday.
