The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has officially approved a new National Working Committee (NWC) led by former Senate President David Mark, following its 8th national convention held in Abuja.

Delegates from across Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) endorsed the leadership during the gathering, giving the new executive a mandate to oversee party affairs for the next four years.

The decision was reached through a voting process that showed broad support for the newly constituted leadership structure.

In addition to confirming the NWC, the convention also ratified several amendments to the party’s constitution aimed at strengthening its internal framework.

Speaking after the exercise, Mark praised the organisers of the convention, noting that the event was well-coordinated and exceeded expectations compared to past party gatherings.

He described the outcome as a significant milestone for the ADC, signalling the beginning of a renewed push for political relevance at the national level.

Mark urged party members to remain united and committed to building a stronger political platform capable of driving national development.

The convention is seen as part of ADC’s broader strategy to reposition itself ahead of future elections and expand its influence in Nigeria’s political landscape.
