Adamu: With Gbenga Daniel as senatorial candidate, APC assured of victory in Ogun

It was a historic moment on Wednesday for former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, when he visited the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja to pick the Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms for the Ogun East Senatorial District.

The National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdulahi Adamu, with several members of the National Working Committee (NWC) were on hand to formally present the form to Daniel.

Adamu, in a short speech during the ceremony, said he was happy and very excited that Daniel has shown interest in the position.

He said with the candidature of a personality like Daniel, “our party is assured of victory in Ogun State with positive effect on the South-West”.

The Chairman further remarked that he had known Daniel for several years and they both maintained a good relationship.

At the event were Dr Cairo Ojuogboh, former Borno State Governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff; APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Senator Abubakar Kyari, National Secretary, Otunba Iyiola Omisore; National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu, Labour Minister, Dr. Chris Ngige, and others.
