Former governor of Abia State and senatorial candidate of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) for the March 28 election, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, has described as false the report that he has sold the party to Chief Alex Otti and Chief Victor Umeh.
A statement by the Orji Kalu Campaign Organisation reads:
“‎Our attention has been drawn to a purported text message being circulated that the duo of Chief Alex Otti and Chief Victor Umeh of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) have bought Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) from Dr. Orji Kalu for the sum of N3.4 million.
“We wish to state categorically that Dr. Orji Kalu, PPA Senatorial Candidate for Abia North, never met with Chief Alex Otti and Chief Victor Umeh not to talk of receiving any money from the duo.
“We are, by this text message, advising all PPA supporters, well wishers, friends and other stakeholders in the polity to disregard such misleading and unpatriotic message. We advise the perpetrators of this false message to desist from such act. Come March 28, vote for the people’s choice, Dr. Orji Kalu, and other PPA candidates”.
