Abducted Colonel: Army offers N1m reward for useful information

The Nigerian Army has raised reward for anyone with useful information that could lead to the rescue of its abducted officer, Col. Samaila Inusa, to N1 million.
The army had on Sunday placed a N500,000 reward for anyone that provided useful information that could lead to rescue of Inusa.
Spokesman of 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Colonel Abdul Usman, told newsmen on Monday that the Army authority was ready to give the said cash reward to any person with useful information that could lead to the rescue of the officer.
Usman said that the army would treat such information with utmost confidentiality and give adequate protection to anyone who provided the required information.
Inusa was abducted on March 26 in his Mercedes-Benz car by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers around Kamazo along Kaduna Refinery Road in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state.
1 Division of the Nigerian Army issued a statement confirming the abduction of the officer on Saturday night.
“The abductors dropped off Colonel Inusa’s wife and left with him in his car; the car headed towards Abuja,’’ the statement read in part.
