The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Thursday said it was expecting 48 ships to berth at Lagos ports from Jan. 8 to Jan 25.
According to the NPA, 21 of the ships will arrive at the ports with containerised goods, while 12 others will sail in with food items.
It said the foods include frozen fish, bulk malt, bulk salt, buckwheat, bulk sugar and rice.
NPA nine ships would come in with general cargo, while a ship would sail in with vehicles.
“Six other ships are being expected with diesel, aviation fuel and petrol.
“Nineteen ships had arrived at the ports with foods, general cargoes and petroleum products, waiting to discharge their contents,’’ it added.
