The three Senatorial districts in Lagos State will on Monday, December 23, 2013 be the centre of attraction as Lagosians in their thousands will attempt to keep a date with the administration of Governor  Babatunde Raji Fashola  which clocks 2,400 days in the saddle of leadership.

A statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Lateef Aderemi Ibirogba, indicated that as part of the selfless leadership style of the governor which seeks to promote the concept of an Action Government rather than an Action Governor, members of the State Executive Council will brief members of the public at each of the designated venues to commemorate the day so that the public would have the opportunity to interact with them in the same way they do with the governor every 100 days.

For all residents of the state that reside in the Lagos East Senatorial District, the venue for the celebration is the Shomolu Local Government Secretariat in Shomolu while those in the Lagos West Senatorial District, will converge at Abibat Mogaji Millennium Senior Secondary School, Iloro, Agege.

The people of Lagos Central Senatorial District will have their interaction at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, where they will listen to the additional dividends of democracy that have been delivered to the residents of the State in the last 100 days.

As part of its policy of openness and transparency, the BRF administration has, since its inception in May 2007, embarked on a process of giving an account of stewardship to the people every 100 days.

The governor had always used such forum to interact with different segments of the society on what their expectations of government and how things can be made better. Fashola has also ensured that such sessions are not always centred around him but giving members of his cabinet the opportunity to also take the leading role at some of some 100 days celebrations.
