2023: Shodipe-Dosunmu will be a great asset to Lagos APC, says Olusi

Prince Tajudeen Oluyole Olusi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday, said Prince Uthman Shodipe-Dosunmu, who dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the APC, on Monday, will be a great asset to the party, especially in the 2023 general elections.

Shodipe-Dosunmu, a former ally of Chief Olabode George and Secretary-General of Omo Eko Pataki, announced his resignation on Monday after meeting the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

Olusi said “It is the joy of every political party to welcome members of the opposition to their fold. Apart from that, I have known Prince Uthman Shodipe for quite a long time.
“He is my cousin. The mother is a princess of the Lagos Royal House to which I belong. I have known him and I have also interacted with him when he was General Manager of The Lagos Horizon Publishing Company where he worked for Lagos State Government”.

“So, it is my responsibility as one of the leaders of APC to welcome people, particularly when they have resolved to work with our party”.

“They have realised that the APC is the most progressive party in the country and the one that can take the country to the promised land. That is the overriding rationale why we have all welcomed him to our party. I believe he will be an asset to us”.
