2019: Tambuwal orders compulsory retirement of two Perm Secs, sacks Special Marshals Commandant

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has ordered the compulsory retirement of two Permanent Secretaries from the state civil service.
Mr Abubakar Shekara, the Director-General (D-G), Media and Public Affairs to the Governor, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Sokoto.
Shekara said the affected permanent secretaries are Alhaji Suleiman Fulani and Aminu Dikko.
Similarly, the statement said the state government has also relieved Mr Salisu Madawaki from his position as Commandant of the Sokoto State Special Marshals.
The statement added that Tambuwal expressed appreciation for the services rendered to the state by the affected officials and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
It was learned that the affected officials have “political affiliation” with former governor, Senator Aliyu Wamakko.
It is believed they are working with the former governor against Tambuwal’s partisan interest.
Tambuwal recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party and declared, during a rally, that President Muhammadu Buhari was a failure.
Wamakko countered with a rally and said that voters in the North-West state would reject Tambuwal and vote for Buhari in 2019.
