2015: Labour Party will win in Ogun, says Daniel

Former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, said on Wednesday that he would ensure the victory of Labour Party (LP) in the 2015 general elections in the state.

He made the statement in an address at a solidarity visit to the National Secretariat of the party in Abuja.

Daniel said:“The process of rebuilding Labour Party in Ogun is in progress; LP will soon be a party to beat in Ogun.

“There are coalitions of factions from other political parties that have concluded plans to join the LP in Ogun.’’

Receiving Daniel and his entourage, the National Chairman of the party, Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, urged the former governor to work for the victory of the party in the 2015 general elections.

“The party leadership wants Gbenga Daniel to mobilise support for the LP across Ogun,’’ he said.

Daniel was accompanied to the secretariat by a former Minister of Mines, Alhaji Tunji Ishola, and Gboyega Isiaka, governorship candidate of of the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) in Ogun State in 2011, among others.
