Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has congratulated the new leadership and members of the 10th state House of Assembly on their inauguration.
This is contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye, in ilorin.
The governor specifically commended the legislators for the smooth election of a new leadership under Mr Yakubu Salihu, who was returned unopposed.
“This seamless transition, including the re-election of the Speaker and emergence of Mr Emmanuel Oyebode, as the Deputy Speaker, speaks to the maturity of the lawmakers and their commitment to stability, collective prosperity and growth of our state.
“The Governor urges the lawmakers to continue to prioritize public good and unity of our people in the discharge of their legislative responsibilities.
“He prays to God to guide the lawmakers as they assume the duties of making laws for the good governance of Kwara,” the statement read in part.
