President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday night, spoke on his Democracy Day ‘fall’ at the Eagle Square in Abuja, earlier in the day.
Jokingly referring to his stumble as “a display of swagger”, the President laughed while addressing the distinguished audience during the State Banquet Dinner at the Presidential Villa and attributed the misstep to his rich Yoruba heritage.
Tinubu slipped while boarding the presidential parade vehicle.
He approached the vehicle shortly after he arrived at the venue but lost his balance momentarily as he was about to step into it.
The President, immediately, regained his balance and continued with the proceedings with the help of his security aides.
Speaking at the dinner, Tinubu laughed and attributed the misstep to his Yoruba heritage.
Jokingly, he referred to his Yoruba cultural roots: “I did my ‘Dobale’ this morning as a Yoruba man for Democracy Day”.
