The  president said: “This is the first time Nigeria is winning an Under age tournament .
“The female team is fortunate in their game today, on Saturday they lost their first match to Egypt and I think that they have corrected their errors.
“They played a wonderful match today and they are growing a lot, some of them will go professional  abroad, ”he said
Nimrod urged the  technical crew to have a good game plan ahead of the semi final match on Wednesday as they would be playing Cameroon.
‘ I will advise the technical team and  the players to have a good game plan. so that they will also win the semi final match on Wednesday,” he said.
He said that the three participating countries :Egypt, Cameroon and the host Nigeria have  automatically qualified to fixture in the world cup in 2024.
“We have all gotten the tickets and the important thing now is the ranking and I can assure you that our girls are good,” Nimrod said.
“The Cameroonians are very tough and some of them have their roots from Mabilla Plateau and Adamawa that is the reason why they are tall compared to our girls.
“We also need to go to Taraba and Adamawa and Maiduguri to get this tall players.
” I have confidence that these  girls will do well in their remaining games, ”he said
Nigeria lost their opening game against their Egyptian  counterparts  0-3 while Cameroon also lost their first game to Egypt 2-3.
