Two commissioners become AIG

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the promotion of two Commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of police (AIG).
This is contained in a statement in Abuja on Friday by Mr Ikechukwu Ani, the Head, Press and Public Relations of the commission.
The beneficiaries are CP Danladi Mshielbwala and CP Ibrahim Idris.
The statement said the commission also reviewed the appeal by CP Zakari Biu against his dismissal.
It said that the commission exonerated him and retired him statutorily.
The statement said that the decisions were the high points of the 13th plenary meeting of the commission held in Abuja.
It would recalled that Biu was dismissed for allegedly allowing the escape of Kabiru Sokoto, a Bokoko Haram suspect in Abuja.
