bamanga_tukur2The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, has called on all aggrieved members of the party to return to its fold before it was too late.

He made the call on Thursday in Abuja, at a seminar organised for youths and women across the country.

He added that the internal crisis facing that party, due to the actions of some of its members, was not peculiar to it, adding that that it could happen to any party.

“What is going on in the party is something of concern but it is also something that can happen in any party.

“You can quarrel but all can be resolved within the house not outside.’’ Tukur said.

He stressed that the aggrieved party members were free to return to the party as its door was still open to them.

“If they come, we will say welcome back and say you are still accepted.

“You have to reconnect and correct your wrong steps. If you don`t, the PDP train will move without you.

“Of course, if you are coming back, you will also have the consequences for taking a wrong step’’.

Mrs Kema Chikwe, the party’s National Women Leader, in her opening speech, said that the party was facing challenging times because of the “morbid quest for power’’ by some members.

She called for support and understanding of the party members and urged them to remain faithful and to be on the party`s side always.

According to her, the PDP has done so much for Nigeria and has provided ladder of opportunity for many Nigerians to attain high positions and therefore deserves appreciation.

The Women leader maintained that the PDP deserved to be protected with passion by all Nigerians, because of the developmental stride of PDP-led government at all levels across the country.

She called on women and youths to stand by PDP pointing out that it was the only political party in the country with consolidated political structures across the country
