Transactions record mixed performance on NSE

Activities on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), on Friday, recorded mixed performance with the turnover volume closing higher, while market indices nosedived.
Investors traded 593.87 million shares worth N94. 26 billion exchanged in 3,159 deals.
This was in contrast with 352 million shares valued at N2.45 billion transacted in 2,438 deals on Thursday.
Mobil was the toast of investors, accounting for 216.49 million shares worth N90.27 billion.
It was followed by Staco Insurance, with an exchange of 100 million shares valued at N50 million, while Zenith International Bank accounted for 69.13 million shares worth N970. 98 million.
Fidelity Bank  traded 41.84  million shares valued at N33.41 million and Diamond Bank sold 27.49 million shares worth N23.28 million.
The All-Share Index dropped 17.48 points or 0.07 per cent, to close at 25,516.34 as against 25,533.82 recorded on Thursday,  following price loses.
Also, market capitalisation dropped N9 billion,  to close at N8.826 trillion, compared with N8.835 trillion achieved on Thursday.
Lafarge Africa recorded the highest price gain, to lead the gainers’ table, gaining N3.99 to close at N42.99 per share.
Beta Glass improved by N2.10, to close at N44.28, while  Okomu Oil gained N2, to close at  N50 per share.
Unilever appreciated by N2, to close at N50 and Guinness added 50k, to close at N60.51 per share.
Conversely , Nigerian Breweries led the losers’ chart, declining by N4, to close at N127 per share.
GlaxoSmithKline trailed with a loss of 48k, to close at N14, just as Guaranty Trust Bank went down  by 45k, to close at N24.90 per share.
Stanbic IBTC depreciated by 22k, to close at N17.78  and Seplat dipped 10k, to close at N396 per share.
