Carlos Tevez is not known for timidity.
He did break a player’s ankle last year, after all.
But this latest incident in a Boca Juniors game against Newell’s Old Boys is just brutal.
Tevez flew towards goal in search of the ball and collided with Newell’s goalkeeper, Luis Ezequiel Unsain.
Unsain got Tevez’s knee right to the jaw and was carted off the field.
He later underwent surgery for a double fracture and could be out for six weeks.
Even though it is Tevez we’re talking about, and as brutal as the collision was, we can’t really say it’s anything more than an accident.
