59-year-old woman slumps, dies while urinating in Ekiti

Dead

Detectives in Delta State Police Command have commenced investigations to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of a graduate of Delta State University (DELSU), Harrison Ighoroje.
Ighoroje, a 29-year-old teacher in a private school in Emede, was in his girlfriend’s house in Irri, Ulli-Iyede community in Isoko North Local Government when he started feeling uneasy.
The incident happened about 3am on Wednesday.
The girlfriend was said to have called one of Ighoroje’s friends “but because it was not yet dawn, the friend could not leave his house to go and see Ighoroje”.
When the girlfriend saw that the situation was becoming complicated, she raised the alarm.
Some neighbours were said to have tried to revive Ighoroje to no avail.
“When Ighoroje could not be revived, she raced to the police station in Oleh to report herself and she was detained”.
A police source told Freedom Online: “We are not saying she killed the boyfriend. That is why we have commenced investigations. But for her safety and a thorough investigation, she will be detained in our station.”
Already, there is tension between family members of the deceased and the girlfriend’s relatives “but elders are already trying to control the situation”.
