Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Saturday led several other senators and members of the House of Representatives to witness the solemnisation of two weddings in Sokoto, including that of the daughter of Senator Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto).
The wedding of Dr Jalaludden Bashir and Hindatu Aliyu-Wamakko was solemnised after the payment of N50,000 bride price.
The second wedding was that of Abdulmalik Gidan-Kanawa and Sajida Sanusi, also solemnised after the payment of N50,000 bride price.

Senate Leader, Senator Ahmad Lawan, as well as Senator Ahmad Sani and Senator Abdullahi Adamu were among those who witnessed the ceremony.
In the same vein, Governor Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, his Sokoto State counterpart, Aminu Tambuwal and his deputy, Ahmed Aliyu, were among personalities who graced the occasion.
The ceremony, which was conducted at Tambuwal’s personal residence, was presided by Sheikh Buhari Sirriddawa.
Tambuwal and Wamakko commended Saraki, his National Assembly colleagues, the Kebbi governor and the personalities who graced the event.
