Promiseland School celebrates 20 years, as Onyali endorses youth sports

Nigerian Sports Promises to return to the Golden days of “Catch Them Young” as Promiseland Primary and Secondary School, Ikotun is set to produce the Stars Of The Future at its Inter House Sports billed for November 7, 2015 at the Government Technical College, Ikotun from 10am.
Aside from its Inter House Sports, the school will be celebrating the 20th Year of the formation of the Primary School and there are very attractive prizes for youths who excel.
According to the Director of Promiseland School, Mr Makanjuola Ayodeji: “We are set for a very competitive Inter House sports. It promises to be really interesting with Students from the different Houses set to show how good they are after months of preparations. Along with the School Principal, Miss Olayemi Adefa, as well as the Headmistress Idowu, we have perfected all that is necessary to ensure a most memorable occasion.
The Promiseland School Interhouse Sports will be chaired by Professor A.O Akinsulie, while the father of the day is HRM Oba Azeez Olayemi Aluko (Onidimu Of Idimu kingdom).
There will be honours shared among the Houses: Blue House Makanjuola; Yellow House Ndubuisi; Green House Akinladenu and Orange House Akeredolu.
The Stars to watch out for are: Chiamaka Nwadike in the female 100 meters, Bolu Daodu in the Male 100 meters as well as Temi Akeredolu in the male 200 meters.
Nigerian Sports Icon Mary Onyali-Omagbemi encouraged the Promiseland Inter House Sports initiative by commenting of the Schools preparation via the students pictures:”Nice One, love seeing these Innocent Faces.” The Activities had been a week long event with Career talks for pupils; endurance treks for the students, parents and teachers as well as Parents Appreciation day.
